The City of Abbotsford’s Tree Protection Bylaw No. 1831-2009 is in place to help preserve the Urban Forest on private lands in Abbotsford.
Before cutting down, topping or otherwise damaging any tree greater than 20cm in trunk diameter (measured 1.4m above the ground), you must apply for a Tree Cutting Permit so any requirements may be determined.
Please note: Properties within the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) are exempt from this bylaw.
