There are many locations available in Abbotsford and the surrounding area available for residents to drop off waste for recycling, composting or disposal.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The temporary flood waste disposal transfer station relocated to the GFL Transfer Station (34613 Vye Rd) on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Please note that the GFL Transfer Station is only accessible from Hwy 11 (Sumas Way) as Vye Road is closed from the west at Riverside Road.
Flood Waste Disposal
The City of Abbotsford is providing FREE disposal of waste resulting from flood cleanup efforts at homes in areas impacted by flooding (view the list of eligible properties). Other waste drop off locations in Abbotsford may charge a disposal fee and are not operated by the City of Abbotsford.
Free flood waste disposal is available until September 30, 2022
Transfer Stations & Landfills
Abbotsford does not have a landfill available to accept excess garbage. Residents can drop off their extra garbage at one of the transfer stations listed below. Please note that there are minimum charges for dropping off garbage at these locations and these locations are not operated by the City of Abbotsford.
