Signs placed haphazardly in our community are dangerous and illegal. The Sign Bylaw, 2023 specifically sections 9 a),b) and e) discourage posting signs illegally in inappropriate locations such as utility poles, posts, fences and trees where they obstruct or interfere with the flow of pedestrian or vehicle traffic and/or pose a visual hazard. Placing signs illegally can cost you $500 per day until they are removed.
If you have a concern in regards to a bylaw infraction occurring within the City of Abbotsford, complete the Bylaw Service Request form.
When submitting a request for service, we ask that you provide the exact address where the alleged bylaw infraction has occurred if possible. If an address is not available, please fill in the free form section with a detailed description of the location.
