• Which projects require a Documentation Submission?

  A documentation submission is required for projects using a Coordinating Registered Professional (CRP).

• Why do you need a Documentation Submission?

  Documentation submissions ensure that all documents are submitted and completed accurately. This ensures the project will be completed in an efficient and timely manner and allows staff to identify any issues that will impact the timeline. 

• When do you schedule a Documentation Submission?

  Submissions must be scheduled before the final inspection and are conducted at Abbotsford City Hall, 32315 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford, BC. Note that you will not be able to receive your final inspection if your documentation submission was not completed.

• How do you book a Documentation Submission?

  A documentation submission can be booked below. You must include address and permit number for each building, date of final inspection and current contact information.

  Please note that if you do not receive confirmation of your request within the three days please email
  building-info@abbotsford.ca with request date, project address, building permit number, contact name, email and phone number.

• How can I prepare for the Documentation Submission?

  You can ensure you have a successful submission by completing a Documentation Submission: Required Documents Checklist to confirm that all your documents are completed correctly, and include the CRP’s initials.

  All required documentation must be submitted to the City prior to the scheduled submission review. If the City has not received the documents by 12:00pm on the day of the review, you will need to reschedule. Please note that if you choose to postpone or cancel a booked review, a fee of $75.00 will be applied prior to rescheduling.
