Play & Learn Preschool

Please review the Parent Handbook and FAQ's prior to registering.

Childcare is available at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre and Matsqui Recreation Centre for ages 6 months to 12 years. Childminding is not available on Statutory holidays and long weekends. Childminding limits are in effect and can be reserved up to 25 hours in advance. Schedule is subject to change based on attendance levels.

Rate is $2.50 per child

Beyond the Bell Afterschool Programs

The Beyond the Bell program is an after-school program offered at McMillan Elementary School (students are walked over to Abbotsford Recreation Centre).

Cancellations:

All cancellations will be allowed until 3 days prior to start date. If you need to cancel with less than 3 days due to medical reasons please contact Parks, Recreation and Culture at 604-859-3134. Late cancellations may require a Doctors note and will not receive a refund.

The City of Abbotsford offers day camps during the summer break, winter break as well as pro-d days.

Drop into Abbotsford Recreation Centre or Matsqui Recreation Centre to get your free Grade 5 Get Active Pass for swimming or skating. A parent or guardian must accompany you when picking up the pass.

Pass is valid September 7, 2022 to August 31, 2023.

• Please bring a copy of Birth Certificate with you. A parent or guardian must be present when picking up the pass.
• Please provide proof of residency.
• If you do not live in Abbotsford but attend school in SD34, please have a teacher write a letter to indicate that you are in Grade 5 at an Abbotsford school. 

Children and Youth (1 - 17 years) can enjoy unlimited drop-in access at Abbotsford Recreation Centre, Matsqui Recreation Centre and Centennial Pool all summer long for $20.

• Pass is valid June to September 
• Pass can be purchased by phoning ARC or MRC or online through your account on direct2rec.com
• Please provide proof of age
• Pass is not refundable

New registrations require a personal account with Abbotsford Parks, Recreation & Culture. Your account can be initialized in person at your local recreation centre or online at www.direct2rec.com.

1. To create an account click on the Create an Account link on the login box.
2. Complete all the fields on the pop up box and click on the Submit button.
3. You will receive an email from communication@perfectmind.com with a password.
4. Click on the link in the email and enter in the username and password provided in the email.
5. From here you can reset your password and update your account with additional family members, important info and add financial information, view schedules, transactions and activity outcomes under My Profile.
