Sanitary Sewer Service Disconnect / Reconnect Permit

A Sanitary Sewer Service Disconnect Permit is required before any City sewer connection is disconnected.

A Sanitary Sewer Service Reconnect Permit is required when the disconnect work to the sewer is complete.

  • The City requires an inspection of the existing connection before reconnection to the City sewer.
  • If the connection passes inspection, there will be a $50 fee plus GST for reconnection.
  • If the connection does not pass inspection, a cost estimate will be provided to the applicant by the City for repairs to the connection or installation of a new service.
  • The applicant is responsible for covering the cost of repairs or installation of a new service.

Fees and Charges for sewer services are regulated by Schedule "H" of the Fees and Charges Bylaw.

Permit fee:
  • sanitary disconnect permit is $750 plus GST.
  • sanitary reconnect permit is $50 plus GST.
