Starting November 1, 2026, British Columbia will observe Pacific Time (PCT) year-round, and clocks will no longer fall back.
The City has been preparing its technology systems for this change. While City program and event schedules are not changing, some applications, devices or personal calendars may temporarily display incorrect times.
If you have added a City program or event to your personal calendar, please:
- Check the time against your registration confirmation.
- Update the calendar entry if the time is incorrect, or remove and re-add it after November 1.
- Ensure your device and calendar are set to Pacific Time (PCT).
If you notice an incorrect time or experience an issue with a City service after November 1, please let us know through our Online Feedback Form.
The City will continue to monitor its systems and work to minimize any impacts during the transition. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
