Fire Prevention Week 2026 is October 4-10, and the theme is:  “Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” which focuses on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer.

Join Abbotsford Firefighters as we kick off Fire Prevention Week on Sunday, October 4, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at participating fire halls! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun, hands-on learning, interactive activities, fire safety demonstrations, and valuable fire prevention tips. Meet your local firefighters, explore the fire hall, and discover how to keep your home and loved ones safe.

National Burn Awareness Week

National Burn Awareness Week, the first full week of February, is a window of opportunity for burn care organizations, burn survivor support groups, public safety and injury prevention professionals to increase awareness among the general population of the frequency and causes of burn injury in America, and the advances in and sources of burn care available today.
