Join the City of Abbotsford at Pepin Brook Park on September 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to celebrate National Tree Day with a community tree planting event.
Help plant new park trees, learn tree-care tips from City arborists, create keychains from invasive plants with the Invasive Art Initiative, and take part in a family-friendly nature art workshop as part of Culture Days.
By bringing together tree planting, environmental education and community partnerships, this event supports the City's Urban Forest Strategy. The planting will help increase tree canopy in neighbourhoods where additional trees are needed, while the workshops provide opportunities to learn about urban forestry, local ecosystems and stewardship. The event also highlights collaboration with community organizations to help grow and protect Abbotsford's urban forest for future generations.
This free event is open to all ages. Registration is required for tree planting and workshop participation.
