Join the partners of the Indigenous Businesses Working Group at Semá:th First Nation Hall on August 26 to acknowledge, learn and celebrate Indigenous storytelling, creativity, art and business through an evening of film, reflection, and community connection. This in-person gathering will showcase a short video created by Woven Cedar Films, featuring local artisans who share their experiences and perspectives.

Indigenous Businesses Working Group
The Indigenous Businesses Working Group is a sub-group of the Economic Development Table, a network of organizations and other actors in Abbotsford who have a role, mandate and interest in local economic development. This working group is chaired by Stό:lō Community Futures, and members include Sema:th Xo:tsa Developments LP/LTD, Leq’á:mel First Nation, and the City of Abbotsford.
The Indigenous Businesses Working Group works to address gaps in services, supports and opportunities for Indigenous businesses in Abbotsford and surrounding areas and helps ensure that First Nations’ perspectives are represented in Economic Development matters.
