Soil Removal & Deposit Permit

A Soil Removal and Deposit Permit is required when removing or depositing any amount of soil from or onto any property in the City of Abbotsford. Soil can refer to clay, silt, sand, gravel, cobbles, boulders, peat or any substance of which land is naturally composed down to, and including, bedrock.

The City of Abbotsford's Soil Removal and Deposit Bylaw No. 1228 - 2003 regulates the movement of soil within the City limits. The purpose of this Bylaw is to ensure no harmful effects are made to the environment, City property or private property.

Step 6: Declaration

Upon approval of this application I/we hereby agree to fulfill the following conditions prior to the issuance of a permit:

1. Deposit security with the City of Abbotsford in the amount prescribed in the Soil and Removal Bylaw.
2. Pay the permit fee payable to the City of Abbotsford at the Bylaw rate of $0.82 per cubic meter.
I/We declare that the above information is correct and that I am/we are aware of the terms and conditions of the Soil Removal and Deposit Bylaw No. 1228-2003, and will abide by the regulations and requirements imposed by the said bylaw and any permit issued to me/us in connection with the proposed soil removal/soil deposit operation.
