Purpose: Equipment and supply funding for cultural services, programs, exhibits and events.
Ineligible Requests: Annually reoccurring, building or capital, operational and staffing requests.
Total Program Funding: $20,000 is available to support cultural equipment and supply funding requests from: The Abbotsford Arts Council, Heritage Abbotsford Society, and The Reach Gallery Museum.
Each organization is eligible to submit a maximum of 3 applications.
Process:
- Complete a separate form for each project you are applying for.
- Each question has a maximum 150 words per field. Lists and bullet points are acceptable to use in your responses.
- Resourcing requests are not guaranteed funding. Applications will be evaluated based on the information provided, please be as thorough and detailed as possible when completing the application forms.
- A Funding Report is required at the completion of the project in order to be eligible to apply for funding the following year. The Funding Report will include a description of the project and its impact, and, the community benefit including specific metrics on attendance/users.
Notes:
- If multiple requests are submitted, they must be prioritized 1 – 3.
- Applications should consider total costs including delivery, shipping, handling, and installation costs as these costs may be eligible for coverage through this program.
- As this funding stream is only available to Cultural Fee-for-Service partners all information on this program is considered confidential and for discussion between the City and the Cultural Fee-for-Service organizations only and should not be disclosed beyond these parties.
Timeline:
- Applications must be submitted by end of day February 17, 2026 in order to be considered for funding.
- Funding decisions will be provided in March, 2026
- Funding Reports from 2025 are due on February 17. Please provide before submitting your 2026 requests.
