Emergency Preparedness Week
The Emergency Preparedness Week is a week long national reminder intended to raise awareness and offer information and tips to help prepare businesses, individuals and families for the possibility of an emergency, or disaster incident. An emphasis is placed on the importance of taking steps now to prepare for a situation that can occur anytime, anywhere. Emergency preparedness is a shared responsibility, and we all need to be prepared at the personal, community, provincial and/or federal level.
Emergency Preparedness Week - May 6-10, 2019
Active deadly threats are rare in Canada but they do happen. It takes time for responders to arrive and you may have to take safety into your own hands. Abbotsford Police Constable Robert Hryhorczuk will provide you with knowledge and advice on what to do if you find yourself in an active threat situation.
