Centennial Library Building
The Centennial Library building was constructed in 1967 as a community project for the celebration of Canada’s Confederation. After more than 40 years in service, the building was closed in 2012 and has been sitting vacant.
Located at the gateway to historic downtown Abbotsford and adjacent to Jubilee Park, the building is well situated to become a community gathering space and an innovation hub for Abbotsford.
In order to repurpose the facility, the City is proceeding with building renovations and exterior improvements to enhance the connection with Jubilee Park.
The project is currently in the design phase, and is scheduled to be completed by May 2019.
