A new pedestrian and bicycle-friendly pathway and stair connection was recently opened to the public, linking Jade Dr. to Eagle Mountain Park. The new connection includes an asphalt pathway, concrete stairway and integrated bicycle ramp and a new trench drain. This was a particularly challenging site to work with given the steep slopes, shallow bedrock surfaces, property encroachments and pre-existing drainage issues; however staff working with consulting engineers, designers and the neighbouring properties were able to successfully implement the project.
