Commercial Vehicle Decal Licensing Program
The City of Abbotsford participates in the Provincial Commercial Vehicle Licensing Program.
The program requires that any commercial vehicles used or operated on a highway in the participating municipalities must display a municipal licence decal.
A commercial vehicle is:
- Defined under the commercial transport act, or
- A vehicle which isn’t licensed under the commercial transport act, but is used for the collection and/or delivery of merchandise or other commodity in the ordinary course of a business undertaking.
Visit the Cashiers department at the City of Abbotsford, and show your current motor vehicle registration,to purchase the decal. The licence year is January 1 to December 31, and the decal are available beginning November 1 for the upcoming year.

Current Licence Fees
|Not exceeding 2,800 kg gross vehicle weight (GVW)
|Exceeding 2,801 kg, but not exceeding 11,800 kg (GVW)
|Exceeding 11,801 kg, but not exceeding 20,000 kg (GVW)
|Exceeding 20,001 kg (GVW)
|Vehicles licensed under Section 10 of the Commercial Transport Act
|Fine for vehicles without the decal
