Commercial Vehicle Decals
Please note: The Province of BC will end the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Program on December 31, 2019. The City of Abbotsford will therefore not be selling municipal licence decals for 2020.
Commercial Vehicle Decal Licensing Program
The City of Abbotsford participates in the Provincial Commercial Vehicle Licensing Program.
The program requires that any commercial vehicles used or operated on a highway in the participating municipalities must display a municipal licence decal. The licence year is January 1 to December 31, and the decals are available beginning November 1 for the upcoming year
A commercial vehicle is:
- Defined under the commercial transport act, or
- A vehicle which isn’t licensed under the commercial transport act, but is used for the collection and/or delivery of merchandise or other commodity in the ordinary course of a business undertaking.
Visit the Cashiers Department at City Hall, and show your current motor vehicle registration, to purchase the decal. When purchasing decals for a fleet of vehicles, please complete this Commercial Vehicle Decal Request Form.
