Municipal Pension Plan
The Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) is a defined benefit plan, where your pension is based on your age, years of pensionable service and the average of your highest five years of salary. It is not dependent on your contributions or the investment performance of the plan and it is therefore a lifetime pension that is not dependent on the markets.

After meeting the enrollment criteria all employees are eligible to join, including part-time, and auxiliary employees. Contributions are made by both the employee and the employer.
