TD GREEN STREET FUNDS 150 TREES FOR ABBOTSFORD
The City of Abbotsford will see the installment of 150 street trees in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday thanks to a $25,000 2016 TD Green Streets grant from Tree Canada and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
SAVE THE SHOWERS WITH A RAIN BARREL!
Available in 300 and 520 litre sizes, they are a great way to water vegetable gardens, hanging baskets and trees. Diverter kits are included. Rain barrels can be purchased in the Engineering Department at Abbotsford City Hall.
LOVE YOUR LAWN?
Put it in early, before summer water restrictions are in effect. Seeding a lawn or laying sod early will decrease the amount of time spent watering. Think about replacing your lawn with ornamental grasses and other water wise plants.

Residents can use the mobile waste app to schedule weekly reminders, access the digital collection calendar, receive service notifications and access the online disposal library, Waste Wizard.

UPGRADE TO CANNELL LAKE WATER TREATMENT
The Cannell Lake water treatment station on Cannell Lake Road is being upgraded to add ultraviolet disinfection and to replace the aging chlorine disinfection equipment.

Ebilling is a new service offered by the City of Abbotsford to receive your bills for utilities and taxes through email.
Single-family and duplex residences receive curbside collection of compostables, recyclables and garbage. Collection is weekly for compostables and recyclables, and bi-weekly for garbage.
