Innovative and Green Solution to Removing Invasive Plants

The City of Abbotsford has “hired” two goats to remove invasive plants at the Community Garden site at Angus Campbell Park.  Bamby and Pixy are working diligently to chew down these pests in an environmentally sensitive way.  Come down to the community garden site to meet our hard working “employees!”

Green Team

The City of Abbotsford Green Team was created in 2009 by 25 forward-thinking employees from across the organization. This group of environmental stewards has created a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainable living for the City and is committed to engaging all employees in thinking and living green.  The Green Team mandate is to incorporate environmentally sustainable practices into our work-place in order to reduce our impact on the ecosystem.
