Total burning ban is in effect from June 1 to September 30 by the order of the Fire Chief and in accordance to the
City of Abbotsford Fire Service Bylaw.
- Absolutely no outdoor burning is permitted within the City of Abbotsford during the ban.
- No burning permits will be issued during this period.
- Any outdoor burning during the ban will result in a fine and /or cost recovery charges.
- Backyard fire pits, portable fireplaces and camp fires (fueled by wood) are not permitted throughout the year.
- Outdoor cooking is permitted by the use of charcoal, briquettes, propane or natural gas only.
Coastal Centre Open Fire Restrictions are also in effect.
