The Emergency Preparedness Week is a week long national reminder intended to raise awareness and offer information and tips to help prepare businesses, individuals and families for the possibility of an emergency, or disaster incident. An emphasis is placed on the importance of taking steps now to prepare for a situation that can occur anytime, anywhere. Emergency preparedness is a shared responsibility, and we all need to be prepared at the personal, community, provincial and/or federal level. During Emergency Preparedness Week the the Abbotsford Emergency Program will encourage city residents to do their part.
