The City of Abbotsford will begin an important expansion of public transit in spring 2011.
Based on consultation with the Mission Abbotsford Transit Committee (MATC), BC Transit, and comments from transit riders, the transit system will be improved in the following ways:
- better overall service so the entire system starts operating earlier
- increased service at night and on Sundays
- improved access to Route #31 (Valley Connector to Mission)
- transit service on statutory holidays
- new bus services for schools
- increased service to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre
- increased service to the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) Abbotsford campus
