Non-Residential Rate Restructuring

Non-Residentail Rate Restructing Punjabi icon - jpg imageOver a three year period, that began on July 1, 2013, the City is phasing in rate changes to bring non-residential water and sewer rates closer to those charged to residential customers.

As the cost of supplying and collecting water and treating wastewater is the same for all customers, the City is working towards normalizing these rate differences and removing the non-residential declining block structure as outlined below. The phase in period is to allow larger volume customers time to adapt their budgets to the new rate structure.  Industrial and agricultural customers are eligible for a reduced rated because they are our heaviest water users and the success of their business is dependent on significant water use.

The pricing of water and sewer services is an important aspect of both water conservation and the generation of revenue needed to maintain our community’s infrastructure.

Water and sewer rates are available on the Water and Sewer Rates page.
